The New Testament is the current time period that we are all living in. The New Testament began with the New Testament Covenant when Jesus died. Contrary to the common belief that it actually began at Jesus's birth, the time period actually began when he died. This is confusing for many people, as the Gospels also include the story of Jesus's birth and life. It consits of 27 books, 14 of them written by the Apostle Paul.
